Powell Street Festival 2023

The Powell Festival is coming again this year!

Saturday August 5th and Sunday August 6th (11:30am-7:00pm) at Oppenheimerpark and surrounding areas! All events are free.

Celebrate Japanese Canadian culture with live music, Japanese festival food, martial arts demonstrations and more this BC Day long weekend. Powell Street Festival, one of Canada’s largest and longest-running community arts festivals, takes place in Powell Guy (now known as the Downtown East Side), Vancouver’s historic Japanese-Canadian neighborhood. The Powell Street Festival Association also offers programs throughout the year and works with local organizations, artists and communities.
