You’re invited to the dreamy solo exhibition by Sleepless Kao!

Step into a nostalgic world filled with blooming flowers and twinkling stars — a visual journey through wonder and whimsy.

🎵 Special live Sanshin performance at 7pm!

On the evening of September 13th, I will be performing sanshin and song as part of my exhibition, joined by KU from Sansho Daiko as a special guest for this warm and intimate evening.

Let the gentle melodies and heartfelt voices wrap you in comfort, like a peaceful starlit night.
We’ll also share some joyful Okinawan tunes to fill the gallery with smiles toward the end of the evening.

The New Year here in Vancouver! 2025 is the Year of the Snake, symbolizing transformation and new beginnings. It’s the perfect time to embrace change and restart with fresh energy.

In 2025, I hope to finish my new picture book, create more artwork, and play the Sanshin. Here’s to a year full of creativity, health, and exciting art projects!

The Powell Street Festival Association also hosts programs year-round and collaborates with local organizations, artists, and communities.
